One of my favorite parts of working with Golden Thread Fairy Tale Players was watching children experience live theater for the very first time. As Stage Manager, I managed rehearsals, props, technical equipment, venue setup, and post-show talk-backs with schools and libraries. Before each performance, I helped young audiences understand what to expect and invited them to become active participants in the story. Afterward, I facilitated conversations between the actors and the audience, creating space for curiosity, empathy, and discussion. Seeing stories from the Middle East become accessible to families and local communities reminded me that the most memorable experiences are the ones that invite people to connect with one another.
